Sustainable Hospitality: Effective Resource Management and Practical Applications

The hospitality industry is undergoing a period of significant change and rising demands. The need to curb operating costs, use energy and water more efficiently, and reduce waste—combined with the growing environmental awareness of guests—creates both new challenges and significant opportunities for businesses in the tourism sector.

The seminar "Sustainable Hospitality: Effective Resource Management and Practical Applications" is designed specifically for professionals in hotels, tourist accommodations, and hospitality businesses. It provides practical knowledge and tools for the effective management of energy, water, waste, food, and supplies, with the aim of reducing consumption and operating costs. Particular emphasis will be placed on the Green Key eco-label and the new criteria for 2026–2031, which come into effect on October 1, 2026. Participants will learn about key requirements for hospitality businesses and see how sustainability practices integrated into daily operations can help prepare a business for certification.

The program combines theory with immediately applicable solutions and practical examples. Additionally, relevant grant schemes, financial instruments, and support opportunities for green investments will be presented, enabling participants to identify ways to fund initiatives related to energy efficiency, resource conservation, and the sustainable development of their businesses.
The seminar “Sustainable Governance (ESG) Applications for Businesses” brings to Cyprus the latest guidelines from the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UN SDSN) and is based on the themes and standards of the ReSEES Laboratory of the Athens University of Economics and Business. It provides specialized knowledge and practical tools for managing environmental and social challenges, while aligning with internationally recognized standards and best practices.

Participation in the program offers executives the opportunity to integrate sustainability principles into strategic planning, adapt to evolving requirements, and create value for their organization and society.

This is a truly unique program: specifically designed for modern businesses, it combines international expertise with practical solutions that can be applied immediately. If you want your organization to stay ahead of global developments and be among the first to leverage sustainability tools, this is the ideal opportunity to gain a strategic advantage!
